My little warrior and I are so lucky that we get to spend so much time together. Since day one, we have spent time in our vintage clothing store Filth Mart or in our studio (errr living room) working on all of our projects. We work on Little Warrior together, custom reworked vintage for clients, and just fun things we want to make. It takes a lot of patience, and for most doesn’t seem like something that goes along with the high energy of a toddler. I’m often asked how we do it…Again I will say how lucky we are, because Rene LIKES to be involved in these things. I mean what 3 year old likes to embroider? anyway, I thought I would share with everyone one of our secrets. I never sit down to start anything without setting up a project (that Rene is capable of) for him 1st. Such simple things can please and occupy him on top of making him feel like he is accomplishing things with me. We “work” so well together. These photos are from a recent morning when I needed to plan out our Little Warrior trade show booth. We went to Michael’s craft store together to get what I needed for the booth, along with what Rene picked out for his project. After spending a whopping six bucks, Rene painted for a solid 40 minutes and made me the most Beeeautiful birdhouse!
